Author Brad Meltzer joins Adam to reflect on his powerful commencement speech, his challenging upbringing, and the life-changing advice he received from a teacher that inspired his writing career. The two also discuss the lasting impact of encouragement given to children, a wild story about Brad’s father and grandfather both being struck by lightning, and the difference between talkers and doers.

In the news, Elisha Krauss sits in with Adam to react to woke commencement speeches from Scott Pelley and Governor Tim Walz, Secret Service agents facing suspension after a brawl near Obama’s residence, and the CDC’s updated guidelines ending COVID vaccine recommendations for healthy children and pregnant women.

Later, actor Paul Guilfoyle calls in to share stories from his East Coast upbringing, his journey into acting, his appreciation for James Dean and classic Porsches, and his latest film, Any Day Now. Get it on.

Legendary comedian and radio host Rickey Smiley joins Adam in studio to talk about his new comedy special FOOLISH, dropping May 30th on Hulu. Rickey opens up about grief, faith, and the heartbreaking loss of his son Brandon in 2023. He shares how leaning on his spirituality has helped him—and others—through tragedy, and why therapy, faith, and hands-on work like being a pilot or a mechanic can keep comedians grounded. Adam opens up about his own envy of Rickey’s faith, and the two connect over the importance of staying sane in a chaotic world. Rickey also shares stories from his Alabama upbringing, being raised by his grandparents, and why his mom working at Arby’s left him with strong opinions about fast food.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller jumps in for the news of the day, including a $30,000 cocktail, Joe Rogan’s turn toward Christianity, the DNC’s multi-million dollar plan to figure out how to talk to men, Russia’s continued Olympic ban, and Adam's take on a controversially named pill.

To close out the show, Kirk Cameron zooms in to talk about becoming a grandfather, the pitfalls of relying on Alexa to parent your kids, and his hope for a country led by competent adults. He also plugs his new kids’ show Iggy & Mr. Kirk, now streaming on Brave+. Get it on.

Elisha Krauss fills in for Jason “Mayhem” Miller and joins Adam in the studio. They kick things off discussing the left’s push to manufacture alpha male role models, Biden’s airline junk fees, and the trend of liberal men who sit like women.

In the news, Adam and Elisha cover a Christian summer camp challenging Colorado’s new gender identity regulations, MAGA backlash against Kash Patel and Dan Bongino over Epstein speculation, and the rise of “ghostworking”—where burned-out employees pretend to be productive on the job.

Later in the show, actor Neal McDonough drops by to talk about his new film The Last Rodeo. He and Adam swap stories about working with Angel Studios, and Neal opens up about his upbringing, getting drafted into the major leagues, and receiving an acting offer the very next day. They also reflect on Neal’s curtailed Hollywood career and their shared admiration for Paul Newman. Get it on.

Comedian Greg Warren joins Adam in studio to talk about his new YouTube special THE CHAMP and Adam’s uncanny ability to riff endlessly on just about anything. The two dive into the absurdities of everyday life, from coffee stirrers and peanut butter to Greg’s former life as a Jif salesman. They also debate whether BBQ is better on the road or at home, and take a nostalgic turn with deep dives into Deacon Jones commercials, The A-Team, Run Joe Run, and Renegade—all of which, they agree, owe a creative debt to The Fugitive. Greg also shares a surprising story about how Lorenzo Lamas played a small but pivotal role in his decision to pursue comedy full time.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller later joins the show to break down the day’s headlines, including the surprising fact that no city in California made the list of the top 250 places to live in the U.S. They also cover Mayor Karen Bass signing executive orders to keep film production in Los Angeles, along with the controversy surrounding the lack of digital communications from her office during the 2025 wildfires.

Legendary filmmaker David Zucker rounds out the episode with a look back at his groundbreaking career in comedy, from Kentucky Fried Movie and Airplane! to The Naked Gun and Scary Movie 3 & 4. David talks about working with Val Kilmer, reflects on being pushed out of the upcoming Naked Gun reboot, and recounts how close his house came to being evacuated during recent fires. He also previews his upcoming Masterclass launching in July on Mastercrash.com and discusses his appearance in the new Chassy Media documentary When We Went MAD, a tribute to MAD Magazine, available June 24 and currently up for preorder on Apple and Fandango.

David and Adam close out the conversation with a surprising discussion about the sad life of Benny Hill and compare notes on their very different childhoods—David’s in Milwaukee and Adam’s as the class clown in North Hollywood. Get it on.

May 21, 2025

Comedian and fan favorite Adam Ray returns for a sharp, off-the-cuff conversation with Adam Carolla. They kick things off discussing how celebrities have become totally shameless about doing commercials and why no one seems to care anymore. Adam Ray then shares stories from his live Dr. Phil parody shows—including a standout performance at Dave Chappelle’s club in Ohio and reflects on what drives him as a performer and the importance of self-responsibility in comedy. The two Adams also trade stories about being attacked by cats, and Carolla recalls catching the very first Dr. Phil show at The Laugh Factory.

The conversation takes its usual unpredictable turns, covering everything from creating your own luck to Adam Ray’s new character Jeremy, and why it’s a good thing that the so-called "rules" in comedy have disappeared. They also riff on failed TV catchphrases, Carolla building a sandbox for Jimmy Kimmel’s kids, Adam Ray’s obsession with videos of above-ground pools being destroyed, Carolla’s love of microwaves, and a truly ridiculous hotel incident involving Adam Ray and a can of Beefaroni.

Later in the show, Ja Rule joins the guys to talk about his upcoming "Where the Party At" tour and his new whiskey brand, Amber & Opal. The conversation hits on Ja's early start in hip hop, how much his music influenced Adam Ray’s childhood, and what it was like being a chart-topping artist during the peak of MTV and TRL. Ja Rule shares his take on the new era of independent artists making it big without gatekeepers and discusses the difference between closing a show for the audience versus for yourself. The guys also sample Ja Rule’s whiskey, dive into tour life on a bus versus flying, and get his honest thoughts on the legacy of the infamous Fyre Festival.

To close out the episode, Jason “Mayhem” Miller joins for the day’s top news stories, including a mass jail escape, a wild coyote attack, Trump reportedly suing Beyoncé and other celebrities for accepting money to endorse Kamala Harris, and a new study revealing that 75 percent of store-brand sunscreens aren’t effective. Get it on.

May 20, 2025

Adam kicks off the show by reminiscing about his co-starring role in Wreck-It Ralph and the surprising reaction it still gets from fans. He then unveils yet another classic Al Pacino scene, this time with Jay Mohr putting his own spin on the character—proving once again that Pacino impressions never get old. From there, Adam riffs on coaster weight, the gnarly side effects of Niacin, Biden’s cancer diagnosis, the sheer brilliance of pit crews, and the fine line between first and last place—not just in racing, but in life.

Next, Jay Chandrasekhar joins the show and dives into:

  • The universal boyhood obsession with foot speed (because being the fastest kid on the playground is basically royalty).
  • His journey through comedy as an Indian kid in grade school, dealing with stereotypes and British influence over India.
  • The decision to cast himself in movies and TV shows instead of waiting for Hollywood (considering the only Indian "stars" he saw were Fisher Stevens and Peter Sellers in brownface).
  • The hilariously awkward story of wearing his wife’s underpants (sometimes you just gotta improvise).
  • Why comedy films should be communal experiences—because laughing alone just isn’t the same.

Jay and Adam also break down the realities of directing low-budget movies vs. TV shows, and Jay introduces his new app, VouchVault, which he swears will revolutionize review sites and help him finally get revenge on Rotten Tomatoes. They wrap up their chat by agreeing that seeing Phish live is overrated, and Jay shares his comedic influences: John Landis, Eddie Murphy, and Richard Pryor. Naturally, both Jay and Adam declare Spinal Tap the greatest comedy of all time.

Jason "Mayhem" Miller joins the show and kicks off the news with a must-see clip of Adam singing "Big Bottoms" with John Popper. From there, the trio dives into the top stories of the day, including:

  • Joe Biden's cancer diagnosis.
  • NYC's most notorious repeat offender—a guy who’s been caught 134 times for stealing and still hasn’t stopped.
  • And finally, the mind-blowing possibility of science turning lead into gold.

Get it on!

May 19, 2025

Adam kicks off the show by giving a heartfelt shoutout to a fan in Florida who shared

how Adam's comedy helped her through the loss of her husband. This sparks a

conversation about the weirdness of accepting love from fans, the secret to Tom

Cruise's action star dominance (it's all in the grip, baby), and the absurdity of

Aspercreme's dad-drumming commercial. They also break down the performative

confidence of Jasmine Crockett and Gavin Newsom.

Comedian Monique Marvez then steps into the studio and she and Adam dive into the

idea of coaching guys up (some can be fixed, some are just broken), her time at KFI

Radio, and a few choice stories about Mike August at the Montreal Comedy Festival.

Monique schools us on her two-point takedown, opens up about her relationship with

her father, and shares the life lessons her parents left her with. Adam jumps in with his

theory that difficult people don’t know they’re difficult (and wouldn’t change if they did).

The conversation gets personal when Monique reflects on her journey with marriage

and kids, while Adam muses about why mama’s boys make the worst business partners

(too much nurturing, not enough grit).

News with Mayhem covers the day's top stories, including: Baristas protesting

Starbucks' new dress code and Bruce Springsteen ranting about Trump.

To wrap things up, Monique and Adam bond over their mutual hatred for "tagging" which sends Adam spiraling into a story from his past about graffiti, a guy named EGGBERT, and a little something called frontier justice. Get it on!
