Teresa’s back with the news for the day, and can’t wait to swear publicly again. She talks about her new job working AM radio, and Adam dissects the difference between AM and FM listeners. Adam also complains about the DVR status bar when he’s trying to watch Inglorious Basterds or sports, but Bald Bryan gives him some helpful advice.
Subtly transitioning into the news, Teresa brings up the story of a drunk guy who pulled a knife on the cops and ended up getting shot. The question remains whether or not the officers used excessive force, but Teresa points out they were bicycle cops without tasers or pepper spray. Based on another cop story, Adam pitches a new hit TV series for Avi to star in, and later Teresa brings up Florida Pastor Terry Jones and his Koran burning. Teresa and Adam also discuss the latest ESPN 30 for 30: One Night in Vegas, Tyson and Tupac.
Illeana Douglas comes in studio, and jokes about playing spin the bottle in Adam’s basement. She and Adam discuss how their last names have screwed up their ethnic reputations, and Illeana also mentions a publicity stunt involving Feng shui. Adam transitions the conversation to Illeana’s work in Scorcece’s ‘Cape Fear’, and they talk about a bunch of the director’s other movies, along with other Illeana’s experiences working on set. Illeana also mentions that she’ll be on Entourage this Sunday, and had a great time filming.
Adam asks Illeana about her new webseries, ‘Easy to Assemble.’ Adam auditions for a guest appearance, and he and Illeana figure out what his role would be. They also talk about the ensemble cast of the series, and Illeana mentions how she auditioned for the role of Adam’s wife on his sitcom. Adam talks about being uncomfortable during the entire audition process, and mentions the emotional breakdown he watched Rosanna Arquette experience first hand.
Back into the news, Joel McHale is going to be in Spy Kids 4. They talk about how great Joel’s career is doing these days, and Adam compares it to his own career, saying he’s forced to do stand up now because he doesn’t have a regular job. Teresa closes with a happy story out of Florida where a woman got fired from her job, then married to the same man one year later. Adam goes on a rant about mass rebellion against the things we don’t like, and ends the show joking about the Piña Colada song, sung by Rupert Holmes.
