Adam opens the show complaining about the State of the Union being on every TV channel, and yelling at Donny for not knowing who Herschel Walker is. Alison goes into more depth of Obama’s speech, wondering why people laughed at a certain joke. Adam relates it to working on a car pilot and being surrounded by unfunny people: regardless of what you say, suddenly you’re the funniest.
Adam also talks about having a special blood type, and how he used to donate it from time to time. Alison then mentions the Oscar nominees for Best Picture, and Adam wonders why the announcement is made at such an awkward time. He also makes fun of Donny for not knowing the Heisman pose, and listens to a segment of his hugely successful audiobook.
Today’s guest is comedian Jon Lajoie. Adam talks to him about being the 3rd of 9 children, and finds out about growing up in Canada. The guys also talk about different kinds of beards, and guys who wear weird hats. They exchange stories about eating food and getting sick, and also talk about Dr. Drew who recently took ill. Wrapping things up, the guys talk about an Arizona restaurant making tacos out of lion meat, and wonder why we still have pennies.
