On today's show, Red Bull's professional adventure racer Rebecca Rusch stops by the studio to talk her new documentary Blood Road. The movie tracks her bike ride 1,200 miles down the Ho Chi Minh trail to find her veteran father's crash site. Adam asks her why she gravitated towards a sport that puts its participants through so much pain. Rebecca then explains the mental strength required to participate in extreme endurance events that see her riding, rafting and running for days straight. Adam then gets an invite to Idaho to ride 100 miles with Rebecca. We'll see if he takes her up on it.

Fox NFL Sunday's Curt Menefee joins Ace today to talk about his book, Losing Isn't Everything. The guys chat about some of the worst sporting losses in history including "The Catch" made over Rodney Harrison and why that was not the play that truly bothered him. They then chat about how Curt came to be one of the most prominent broadcasters in sports, having come from abject poverty in Atlanta. Then the two stumble upon one of Ace's old high school classmates who could be Curt's cousin.

The conversation kicks off, reminiscing about the first time Adam heard about Chad on The Adam Carolla show. Chad's video about a woman being offended by cotton decorations at a hobby lobby made it into Gina's news section. That leads the two into a broader discussion about the root cause of the offense being taken in this country and what happens when you run out of problems.

Eddie speaks with Adam about the challenges facing low-income families and the unrealistic expectations we have regarding the government's role in solving the problem. Adam and Eddie discuss the capitalistic solution to the lack of supply of low-income housing, that is, giving investors an economic incentive to help solve the problem. Eddie and Adam then chat about found memories on the construction site and how insane it is that "Union guys" get paid so much to do so little.

Adam asks Moriah about her immigrant mother growing up in Texas and they talk about what it means to assimilate into the American fabric. Moriah then talks to Adam about abandoning an academic life in pursuit of the arts. Adam asks Moriah about her religion and how that influences her music and relationships in life. They then speak about following the thing that you love to do and about how if it's idyllic in any way there is going to be a lot of competition to get to the top.

Ms. Pat tells Adam her life story starting out in the bluff of Atlanta. They chat about growing up and being forced to steal as well as having children before the age of 13. Adam and Ms. Pat talk about the notion of race and how it plays into everyday life. Then Adam asks Ms. Pat about the beginning of her stand-up career and what pushed her away from selling drugs to stand up comedy.

They also discuss Gary's unique position as one of the 48 voters on NFL Hall of Fame inductees.
