The Stoned Pelican himself Mike August joins Adam for this week’s episode of Take a Knee. After taking Adam on a trip through his childhood as the son of a college football coach, Mike turns to his own high school and college football career, telling Adam how he believes that discipline in sports relates to success in all aspects of life. Mike talks about his incredible reading comprehension skills and how they helped him in getting his law degree before moving out to California to see what a Law degree is worth, and eventually finding the industry itself to be unsatisfying. After leaving law for the entertainment industry, August talks about starting over once again in New York this time working for Jon Stewart. Before they wrap, Adam talks about how people tend to bullshit themselves.
Tony Little sits down with Adam for this week's Take A Knee. Tony opens the show talking about growing up without a father and getting into some trouble as a youth before moving to Florida in his teenage years. Then Tony talks about getting into body building at 18 after suffering a bad knee injury from a future pro football player. Next, Adam talks about finding the thing you have a passion for and figuring out a way to get paid from it. Tony also discusses working as a cleaner so he could afford air time for his first exercise show, as well as the difficulty he faced trying to find a studio to air his later shows. Before they wrap, Tony talks about the feeling of getting his first big paycheck
