On today's show Adam sits down with comedian and author Ms. Pat to talk about the journey from a life of drugs and hardship to a life of stand-up comedy. Ms. Pat tells Adam her life story starting out in the bluff of Atlanta. They chat about growing up and being forced to steal as well as having children before the age of 13. Adam and Ms. Pat talk about the notion of race and how it plays into everyday life. Then Adam asks Ms. Pat about the beginning of her stand-up career and what pushed her away from selling drugs to stand up comedy.
On today's Take A Knee, Ace chats with NFL Hall of Fame voter and New York Daily News columnist Gary Myers. His new book My First Coach covers the topic of quarterbacks and their fathers and the two get going first on Phill Simms. The Super Bowl MVP has never opened up about his troubled childhood until speaking with Gary. Contrast that with Tom Brady and his father Sr. who would gold together every Saturday morning. They also discuss Gary's unique position as one of the 48 voters on NFL Hall of Fame inductees.
