At the top of the show, Adam and Dr. Drew discuss some of the problems with producers who don’t let the talent do their jobs. Adam complains about the way they always dumb down their shows for the audience, and how you can’t even have ‘a heartbeat of silence.’ The guys also talk about their wives’ obsessions with terrible women on reality TV, and talk about the history of humans’ ‘sacrificial impulse.’

The guys then jump to the phone lines to give listeners some relationship advice. The first caller spent some time with an ex-girlfriend and it just didn’t feel right, and the next caller has a super hot girlfriend who he has no longer has a sex drive for. In both cases, Adam and Dr. Drew agree that the callers need to move on, and do that as swiftly as possible.

In the second half of the show, Adam talks about a variety of frustrating interactions he had with famous women, that Dr. Drew was also a witness to.  First, he talks about several maddening conversations with Black Eyed Peas front woman Fergie, and then he talks about an argument he had with Kelly Osbourne over WWII. Lastly, he talks about a panelist he recently talked to on Dr. Drew’s show, who was shocked Adam couldn’t remember that they were intimate together.

The guys then talk about the death of former Celebrity Rehab patient Jeff Conway. Dr. Drew expresses his sadness, as Jeff appeared to be making some progress in the last couple of weeks. Adam asks where Dr. Drew thinks that drug companies fall when it comes to substance abuse, and if they actually benefit from selling massive amounts of pills to people who can’t control themselves. The show then comes full circle as the guys discuss how the government needs to get out of the way, and let the trained professionals do their jobs.

Adam’s first call is a long one, but he and the caller discuss a variety of different topics. First, the guys talk about Albert Brooks, and how comedy can be used to actually say something important. The caller also asks Adam how advertising works behind the scenes of ACE Broadcasting, and what the daily schedule is like. Additionally, the caller happens to be a motivational speaker, and helps Adam find a different way to communicate to his wife so she’ll rinse out the coffee mugs.

The next caller wants to know which cars are best for picking up chicks. Another asks Adam about his favorite comedians. Adam also talks about a bad dream he had about mounting tires, but that actually led to him waking up feeling fine. Adam then gives some romantic advice to a guy trying to seal the deal with a stripper.

As Adam continues his way down the call lines, he speaks to someone who noticed radio-controlled airplanes in a photo of Ace’s garage. The caller wants to know how Adam got into them, and Adam expresses his passion for them even to this day. In the last part of the show, Adam talks about some of his worst crashes, and a particularly awkward exchange when the plane landed in his neighbor’s yard.

Adam has a nerdy heart to heart with Bald Bryan about the pronunciations of certain major sci-fi franchises, and how awful the film Thor was. Adam then rants about the multiple missed phone calls from Molly’s vet that made him worry for no reason, and complains about people who show up too early to parties.

Alison opens the news with a story about how hurricanes are named each year, and the guys discuss whether certain nationalities would want their names included on that list. Steve Martin was also recently in the news for being the victim of art fraud, and Adam tries to decide if he likes him or not.  Later, Adam goes on a rant about his wife always leaving a ring of coffee in her mug, and tries to understand why people ‘spend more calories arguing than absorbing.’

Kyle Kinane then joins the show, and talks with Adam about going to Seattle. The guys also discuss the pros and cons of high-def sports and 3D TVs. Things are followed up with a round of Gaywalking, where the group votes whether or not the gay guys interviewed can answer ‘straight-guy questions’. The show then wraps with a conversation about the song ‘Lick It Up,’ and other very strange love songs.

First up, Adam sits down for a quick phone call with former Daily Show correspondent Rob Riggle. During the call, the guys talk about the new webseries Rob hosts: The AXE Dirtcathlon. Adam thinks it’s remarkable that we’re the only species that chooses to get dirty for fun, and talks to Rob about his transition from being a Marine to being on The Daily Show. The guys also talk about the ‘jock bias’ they’ve both experienced on set.

Things then transition to last night’s performance at the Irvine Improv. Adam is ready to welcome Christopher Titus, but first spends some time discussing his weekend in San Francisco. More specifically, Adam talks about an aggravating meal at the House of Nanking, and also his experience seeing a gay flag at half-mast. Adam also rants about his Subway breakfast sandwich, and brings Titus out to talk about some rough performing experiences over the last couple days.

Moving into the news with Alison, Sarah Palin has officially apologized for taking some press away from the day Mit Romney announced his run for presidency. Titus talks about just wanting to have a normal guy as president, and Adam suggests an emotionless robot for the job. The guys also watch a clip of Palin trying to explain the story of Paul Revere, and then the guys try to recall the story themselves.

Another news story sends Adam on a rant about how difficult it is to open plastic packaging. The guys also talk about the passing of Dr. Kevorkian by natural causes, and the idea of assisted suicide. The final news story raises the question, ‘Are Smurfs racist?’ The show wraps up with a round of What Can’t Adam Complain About, where the audience member who challenges Adam the most gets a free poster.

After a long drive to San Diego, Adam and the gang are live at the House of Blues, with special guest Dana Gould. The conversation quickly turns to Halloween night, and the guys talk about adults with too much time on their hands, and slutty girl costumes. They also talk about how to deal with wild animal attacks, and the worst flavors of edible panties.

Adam then talks about his trip to Charlotte, and the ‘firesuit incident’ that happened on the road. Later, Alison jumps into the news, opening with Mit Romney’s quote about Obama failing America. The guys go on a tangent about crazy names, and between political talk, Adam talks to an audience member about how to properly remove anal beads. Kim Kardashian is also in the news for taking her husband’s last name, and the guys discuss the announcement of Jane Lynch hosting the Emmy’s.

The group also discusses the new USDA food diagram, and whether or not it actually makes a difference anyway. Adam then talks about the rats and rattlesnakes on his property, and goes on a rant about square cafeteria pizza. The final news story is about cellphones causing cancer, and the guys chat about the good old days of phone booths and yellow pages.

As is tradition with Dana, the guys watch and heckle clips of the Huell Howser program, ‘California’s Gold’ during a round of Huell’s Jewels. Adam then recalls some stories from his times as a teenager in Tijuana, and the show wraps up with a couple quick jabs at Dr. Drew and Nicolas Cage.

The gang goes right into the news at the top of the show. First up, Shaq has announced his retirement via Twitter. They also talk about Anthony Weiner’s response to the claims that he sent a picture of his junk to an old flame, and discuss the Canadian couple who won’t reveal the gender of their baby. Adam is convinced there must be zero problems in this society if this is what we’re all concerned with.

Next up is a story about people who are angry about circumcision, and are suggesting it should be up to the kid to decide. They also discuss Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s claims that he is only eating animals that he personally kills. The news is then followed by an all-staff edition of What Can’t Adam Complain About.

Today’s guest is James Tupper, who stars alongside Jim Carrey in the new film Mr. Popper’s Penguins. Adam also recalls that James was at his house back when he was renovating it, and the guys talk dirty about carpentry. James also talks about his experience working with Jim Carrey, which leads to a longer conversation about Carrey’s career accomplishments.

The conversation then steers back to carpentry, and Adam is reminded of an experience he had when a full construction crew was posing for a picture when one of them farted. As the show wraps up, the guys talk about the penguins in James’ new film, and Adam invites James back to see his house now that it’s finished.

See James Tupper in the new film, Mr. Popper’s Penguins. Out June 17th.

Adam talks about his nice evening hanging out at Jimmy Kimmel’s along with the whole family. He complains about not being able open the battery hatch on his daughter’s new toy, and can’t understand why the manufactures don’t include the right tool. The group also talks about a suitable replacement for the term ‘fag hag,’ and Adam goes on long rant about not being alerted to the results of his MRI sooner.

In the news today, faux-baby daddy Rogelio Baena is now suing Arnold for falsifying a state document that said Rogelio was the father. The guys examine who’s really the badguy in this scenario, and whether or now the lawsuit will have any weight. Also in the news is a tweeted crotch shot of a would-be mayor, which gets Adam on a tangent about sitting next to a porn star on his flight home over the weekend. The guys then spend several minutes trying to figure out which porn star it was.

Comedian Eddie Ifft is on the show next, and Adam asks him about a documentary he was working on, which deals with how the rest of the world views America. He talks about being booed as an American touring Europe during the beginning phases of the Iraq War, which starts Adam off on a jag about why people resent the one’s trying to help them. Eddie then talks about a bad experience he had after eating a pot brownie, and how the drug altered his perception of life around him.

Adam recalls his own experience seeing Sex and the City 2 high out of his mind, and talks about a particularly funny moment for him when he yelled at the cheering women in the theater. The guys then wrap the show discussing some of their more memorable movie theater experiences.

Adam opens the show talking about how he failed drivers ed. He and Topher recall seeing each other briefly on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last week, and can’t believe it’s been years since the time before that. Topher talks about his hometown and how excited he is to be filming a big movie there later this summer. He also talks about attending boarding school, and how he ultimately landed the lead role on That 70s Show.

Adam talks with Topher about the idea of being an artist, but Topher is modest about his life and says he just likes the experience of talking with other people. He and Adam begin discussing how as a comedian, you have adapt to change, and Adam shares his wisdom about the importance of learning from your experiences.

The guys then jump back to the success of That 70s Show, and they talk about the different career paths each cast member has lead. After watching a clip from Topher’s new HBO movie ‘Too Big To Fail,’ they talk about the economic crisis and why people get so confused by all the numbers. The show wraps with Adam and Topher talking about not spending money you don’t have, and how everyone knows deep down this is true.

Adam welcomes back Superfan Giovanni and explains that Gio remembers more about Adam than Adam does. Gio asks Adam to talk more about the ‘pirate ship’ metaphor he mentioned in his initial podcast. Adam discusses being able to do the best work he can when he’s with people he trusts and no outside influences. Gio also asks Adam to talk about his ability to be ‘in the moment’ all the time, and Adam explains the importance of compartmentalizing his thoughts.

Gio then asks Adam about whether he’d ever be willing to do an international performance, and Adam points out that he’s about to do his first live show in Toronto. Adam also talks to Gio about the Basic Cable Commentaries and why his film The Hammer isn’t on Netflix. The guys then discuss recording his second audio book, and Adam talks about the Conan-Leno war for Late Night TV prime spot.

After reading an old Entertainment Weekly for The Man Show, Adam talks more about just wanting to work with the people he wants to work with and be left alone. Gio asks Adam a series of rapid fire questions about past guests and thoughts for the future, and Adam wraps the show talking about his situation with Random House and why he’s glad he doesn’t need a middle man to reach the fans anymore.

Adam talks about a couple strange ‘great magnet’ events that happened to him in the last 24 hours: one involving the Batmobile, and another involving today’s guest, Larry Flynt. Adam also shows a clip of him sustained an injury while filming something for his new Speed Channel show, and the group plays a round of Gaywalking.

After a quick break, Larry Flynt and his co-author David Eisenbach come in studio. Adam and Larry catch up from their last interaction several years ago, and Adam gets a little personal talking about Larry’s sex life. He also talks with David about writing the new book, and how political sex scandals have shaped the course of history. Larry explains how being a politician gives you a sense of empowerment, and David suggests that the public is becoming more accepting of this behavior as long as people are honest about it.

Adam then talks to Larry about the state of Hustler across all platforms, including the magazines, stores, and online presence. The guys also talk a bit more about Larry’s experience outing politicians, and the group goes into a deeper discussion about rough trade vs. vanilla sex, and what percentage of people cheat.

Alison then goes into the news, discussing Arizona shooter Jared Loughner being declared mentally incompetent. They also talk about the verbal lashing ‘liberal blowhard’ politician Ed Schultz gave Laura Ingraham. Larry has his own strong words to say about her. As Larry heads out, Adam is presented with a boatload of porn, and the guys wrap the show talking about the Kim Kardashian proposal and Law and Order: SVU.

Adam opens the show discussing his busy morning of rolling calls and appearing on Showbiz Tonight. He complains about the ridiculous pace of those Entertainment-type shows, and that he never got a chance to say anything on the air. He also talks about driving around in the Batmobile for his new car show, and having an awkward exchange with his mom and step-dad while filming.

In the news today, Alison reports on the rising death toll in Missouri after the single deadliest tornado on record.  The guys also discuss the rapture that never happened this weekend, and whether or not it will actually happen later this year. Later Alison reports on LAX having the highest rate of baggage theft, and Adam goes on a rant about horrible airport employees. He also gets preachy about the Colombian immigrant claiming to be the biological father of Schwarzenegger’s mistress’ kid.

Today’s guests are NASCAR Twins Amber and Angela Cope. They talk about their experience driving in the Camping World Truck Series, and Adam talks about females becoming more competitive in the racing world. They flash back to the girls early days of racing, and follow their story through their first nationwide race last weekend. Adam also asks them about their love life and whether they’ve over fought over the same guy.

Returning to the news, ‘planking’ is the latest, most dangerous trend in online memes. The group also talks about Oprah’s final episode, and Adam complains about Tyler Perry. Lastly, the group talks about a guy caught masturbating on an airplane, and Alison reads off the highest earning college majors.

Adam compliments Patricia and David on their new web series: Versailles. Adam asks Patricia to talk about working on a multi-camera sitcom vs. a single camera production. Adam also talks to the couple about how they met and jokes with them about the downsides of couples massages.

Adam then talks with David about the Goodwood Festival in London, and how he gets pissed when locals don’t know what he’s talking about. The group also discusses European urinals, and how to get people to whizz where they’re supposed to. There’s also an extended conversation about construction site port-a-potties.

David describes the backstory of their new web series, and how the lead character was created while on set for a movie. He further goes on to talk about how he and his writing partner just decided to film the series as opposed to going the ‘suit route’. They then talk about some of the costars of the series, and Adam relates his experience on a road trip with Fred Willard.

Adam asks Patricia about being religious, and she and David talk about some of the great experiences they’ve had attending their church. Adam compliments their efforts in the community, and talks about working with born again gang bangers back on his construction site days. He also talks about being an Atheist, and Patricia’s inner Tiger Mom comes out to talk about the importance of raising your kids right and guiding them through the toxic environment around them.

In the last segment of the show, Adam talks a bit more about David and Patricia’s web series, and how he couldn’t imagine this type of work when he was in an improv troupe. David recalls being a stand-up, and also wondered what the end game would be. They all agree on the liberating power of the web, and Adam imagines what Clark Gable would have done with a Twitter account.  As the show wraps up, Adam discusses the Ringwald family, talks vintage cars with David, and talks about being a Catholic big brother.

At the top of the show, Alison actually has a complaint about her day. She talks about her childhood pet, and how she discovered today that the bird did not die the way she was told. Adam feels her pain, and talks about an argument he had with his daughter today in an attempt to feed her medicine. He talks about some of the other relentless females in his family, and also gets in some jabs about crappy 80s music.

The top news story today is Jeff Conway’s coma. Some people are blaming Dr. Drew, since Jeff appeared on Celebrity Rehab. Adam stands up for Dr. Drew, saying that he cares too much about everyone. Adam also recalls a recent awkward experience on Dr. Drew’s new show, when one of the panelists claimed she and Adam had slept together, even though Adam didn’t remember her. Also in the news is Forbes list of Most Powerful people, and the guys read through Adam’s actual rider, which breaks down what Adam requests when he performs at a venue.

Character actor Stephen Root is today’s guest, who Adam insists you’d instantly recognize. Stephen and Adam talk about the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles, which helps make Shakespeare more accessible to the common man. They also talk about Stephen’s generous donation to the University of Florida, and some of his early beginnings moving around the country and eventually breaking into the acting biz.

Jumping back to the news, Alison talks about the World’s Oldest Woman and reveals that the mother-daughter Botox story was a hoax. Adam also talks about that point in time when you cross-over the celebrities you lusted over as a kid. As the show wraps up, the guys talk about Sugar Ray Leonard’s sexual abuse, Jerry Lewis’ telethon retirement, and Stephen reads the plugs in character as writer Buzz Bissinger.
